Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. Maxey earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 2009. She later attended Oklahoma State University-College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2014. Tired of the heat, she quickly relocated to the Pacific Northwest. After about six months working at a 24-hour emergency hospital, it became abundantly clear she wasn’t cut out for shift work. In Spring 2015, Dr. Maxey began working at a privately-owned practice in Ridgefield. She loved it so much that she stayed for over a decade. It was where she saw the benefits and necessity for more privately-owned practices first-hand. So, when the opportunity to purchase Evergreen Animal Hospital presented itself in Spring 2025 she was ready!
In her free time, Dr. Maxey enjoys traveling, baking, and gardening. But most of all, she loves spending time with her husband, 2 sons, 3 dogs, 7 cats, countless chickens, and a peacock named “Peter”. Dr. Maxey and her husband (Mike) are avid Texas A&M football fans. They try to make it to at least one game every season and never miss the opportunity to watch them on television!
Business Manager
Prior to the journey of purchasing Evergreen Animal Hospital with Dr. Maxey, Mike spent decades as a professional problem-solver: 12 years in residential real estate sales, both as a broker and an investor, 8 years as an Adult Corrections Officer, and 4 years serving in the United States Navy. So, his new role as the Practice & Business Manager here at EAH hasn’t been much of a stretch!
In his free time, Mike also enjoys traveling and anything related to Texas A&M football! He’s always enjoyed working with his hands and taking on construction projects, both big and small. While he loves hiking, fishing, and being outdoors – he’s often most content working on a renovation project that makes him constantly question his sanity.
